COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH USA BMX/BMX CANADA 

The Bob Warnicke Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to assist students and their families in meeting the costs of undergraduate college education, trade school, etc. USA BMX/BMX Canada members who have a current USA BMX/BMX Canada license or Track Operators/Officials who participate in BMX racing events sanctioned by USA BMX/BMX Canada are eligible to apply. Scholarship applications must be postmarked by April 2, 2012 to be considered. The Scholarship Committee will review the application materials and select the deserving applicants. The awards will be announced May 15, 2012 via the USA BMX website.

Fundraiser Sunday March 25 
Milwaukee BMX is having a fundraiser at Serb Hall, 5101 W. Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee WI on Sunday, March 25. It will be from 5:00 P - 7:00 P. There is a $1.00 per person cover charge to get in and if you want to bowl it will cost $3.00 per person, per game and that includes shoes if you need them.  There will be donations there that you can buy raffle tickets for. Last year we had some great donations and we are sure it will even be better this year. All proceeds will go to improvements at the track. If you have something you would like to donate, or put together a gift basket to raffle off, or know somebody that can, please let Bob or Amy know. The list of rafle items will be updated as the items come in.

RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
Don't forget to renew your USABMX membership for 2012. Use this link to renew online directly through USABMX. Please remember to list MILWAUKEE BMX, TRACK #1730 as your home track when renewing or filling out new member forms. Our track benefits from all new memberships and renewals. It helps us qualify for "earned double" races the following year. If you are a new rider, you will have to fill out these forms and turn them in are our track once we open, or mail in directly to USABMX.

The Track Operators of Milwaukee BMX are Bob  (cell 414-324-7868) and Amy Graham  (parents of BMX racers Jesse and Gavin) .

Please feel free to contact us for information on Milwaukee BMX, general BMX racing questions and race updates on day of the race if weather has been questionable.

We race on Tuesdays, practice on Thursdays and also race on some Saturdays. Please look at the schedule page for more information. If you are new to the sport or thinking about giving it a try, stop by the track on a race day or a practice night and watch what is going on, ask all the questions you have. Everybody at the track is more than willing to help you out, we have all been "new" to the sport in the past. At the track you will see kids as young as 4 racing, and more "experienced" racers in their 40's and even in the 70's and everything between. BMX is a sport that you can compete in at your own pace. If you just want to race once in awhile, show up when you want. If you want to do it for exercise and not compete, that is great too. If you become an "addict" you can show up at all the races and also travel all the country and race. The great thing about this sport is that you are your own team, you race at your leisure. You can see the kids confidence grow every week they race. The harder they try, the better they do, the better they do more fun the have. It is great to see all the older riders encouraging the new riders, giving them tips and cheering them on. This is a great confidence builder, they learn how to win and how to lose humbly.
If you are all set to join the exciting sport of BMX racing, please feel free to fill out this USA BMX MEMBERSHIP and bring it to the track on a race day or practice. We will get it sent to the ABA
for you. If you fill it out and mail it in, please make sure you put TRACK NUMBER 1730 on the track line that says "CREDIT MY MEMBERSHIP TO TRACK" . ABA keeps track of how many people register and every track.
